In the old days this territory used to be under the Roman Empire when the emperor Domitian banned wine production in all Roman provinces outside the Apennine Peninsula. The ban lasted until the third century AD when emperor Marcus Aurelius Probus began restoration of production in the territory of today’s Srem!

Visiting Deuric Winery and Komuna Winery, you will have the opportunity to taste grape varieties such as Probus, Gewurtztraminer, varieties that carry the specifics of Vojvodina Terroir but also world-famous varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noar which are shaped by the Vojvodina climate and soil.
